Job Duties::

  • Participation in the research activities of the institute
  • Participation in the teaching and examination activities of the institute, supervision of students
  • Participation in organizational and administrative tasks of the institute
  • Independent research activity in topics compatible with the institute’s research and teaching activities
  • Teaching of Gender Studies courses in various JKU curricula and holding of examinations
  • Acquisition of third party funding

Your Qualifications::

  • Completed Doctorate/PhD
  • Very good knowledge of Gender Studies, either with a focus on Gender in STEM (gender relations in science and technology, Gender and Science & Technology Studies) or from Social and Economic Sciences (e.g. on the topic of “Work and Gender”).
  • With a focus on Gender in STEM: Good networks within the research community (from German-speaking countries or beyond) are an advantage
  • With a background in Social and Economic Sciences: Good knowledge of quantitative empirical research methods is an advantage
  • Compatibility with the research areas and teaching activities of the institute
  • Experience in teaching is an advantage
  • High scientific research potential
  • Strong command of German and English (level C1), strong social skill set and personal commitment
