Post Doc Position - Theory and Experiment in Turbulent Multiphase Flows (ERC project) for a Full-time, three-year position

Job Duties::
- Develop the theoretical framework to study turbulent multiphase flows
- Contribute to conducting three-dimensional optical measurements in droplet-laden turbulent flows.
- Conduct data analysis and interpretation mostly based on experimental and numerical data
- Collaborate with other team members and contribute to supervision of PhD students in the project
- Disseminate research findings in the form of scientific publications and conference presentations
Your Qualifications::
- PhD degree in the field of fluid mechanics (mechanical engineering, chemical engineering) or physics
- Strong background in theory and analysis of turbulent flows (preferably in multiphase systems)
- Experience with data analysis in fluid mechanics
- Strong programming skills (Python and/or C++)
- Prior experience with measurement techniques in fluid mechanics such as PIV method could be a plus
- Strong command of English (level B2/C1). Knowledge of the German language is not required for this job
