Working at the intersection of research and future technologies

At Johannes Kepler University Linz, we are looking for a project administrator (20 hours per week) to support the Quantum Computing department within the computer science division.

Quantum sciences are among the most exciting fields of technology today. Our interdisciplinary team works at the intersection of computer science, physics, and mathematics, developing new approaches to key challenges in both science and practical applications. In this role, you will provide organizational support for research projects and work closely with researchers, international partners, and funding agencies. You ensure that projects run smoothly behind the scenes, thereby making an important contribution to progress in a dynamic research environment.

This position is particularly well-suited for individuals who enjoy working independently and in an organized manner, taking on responsibility, and being part of a young, international team.

Job Duties::

  • Contact person for researchers, partner institutions and funding agencies
  • Budget control, billing and project documentation
  • Organization and coordination of events
  • Administrative management of projects: general administrative tasks, scheduling
  • Assistance with HR processes and travel expense reimbursement

Your Qualifications::

  • Completed training at Matura level or comparable
  • Very good knowledge of German or English (at least B2) and willingness to communicate internationally
  • Enjoy working independently and taking ownership of your tasks in a dynamic research environment alongside an international team
  • A friendly, approachable demeanor and communication style, independence, initiative, attention to detail, ability to work well with others, service orientation, and a willingness to learn
  • Experience in project management or project controlling as well as confident handling of Office applications is an advantage

  • On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 2,759.20 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: IIIa)
