Job Duties::

  • Independent research in the field of experimental Surface Science, utilizing the group’s existing infrastructure and expertise (surface analysis in ultra-high vacuum, scanning probe microscopy, LEED, PEEM, optical spectroscopy)
  • Active collaboration and support concerning the ongoing research projects
  • Development of new research ideas for scientific projects and proposals for external funding
  • Involvement in teaching, including the supervision of bachelor, master, and doctoral students
  • Participation in administrative tasks at the institute and the university

Your Qualifications::

  • The successful candidate must hold a Doctorate / Ph.D. degree in Physics or Chemistry
  • Profound knowledge and experience in the field of experimental Surface Science
  • Excellent English language skills (B2 level), knowledge of German would be appreciated
