Job Duties::

  • Independent research and writing of a dissertation in the field of sociology
  • Assuming teaching responsibilities at the institute
  • Assisting with administrative tasks at the institute, particularly in working at committees and knowledge transfer

Your Qualifications::

  • The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree in sociology or a related social science discipline
  • Solid methodological skills in interpretive or reconstructive social research; knowledge of empirical subjectivation analysis is a plus
  • Expertise in the fields of the sociology of knowledge, science skepticism, and the sociology of sustainability and the climate crisis
  • Ability to independently plan, conduct, and write up research projects; initial experience with submitting grant proposals is an asset
  • Teaching skills and a strong commitment to the further development of innovative university teaching; initial teaching experience is desirable
  • Experience in sociological contract research in collaboration with companies is an asset
  • Proficiency in German and English (C1 level)
  • Teamwork and interest in international networking
