The School of Medicine at Johannes Kepler University Linz has quickly established itself as a leading institution and offers an excellent, forward-looking environment for teaching, research, and training in human medicine on its modern medical campus, located in close proximity to the Kepler University Hospital.
The Office of the Vice Rector for Medicine plays a key role in driving the establishment and ongoing development of the School of Medicine. To support the leadership of the School of Medicine, we are seeking a dedicated individual who will actively contribute to strategic and operational development processes. Your responsibilities will include, in particular, coordinating and overseeing space and infrastructure planning, as well as providing support for day-to-day operations. In addition, you will be independently responsible for planning, implementing, and managing projects, and you will participate in cross-faculty development processes.

Job Duties::

  • Preparation of decision-making materials, reports, and analyses
  • Supporting and actively contributing to processes related to the further development of the School of Medicine
  • Development and implementation of a forward-looking spatial concept for the School of Medicine, taking into account current requirements and long-term trends
  • Participation in and coordination of strategic development efforts, as well as the preparation of the intellectual capital statement
  • Professional support for the Medical Division management in their demanding day-to-day operations

Your Qualifications::

  • A college or university degree, or a comparable qualification, or several years of professional experience in an assistant or administrative role—ideally in the academic, public, or healthcare sectors
  • Experience in coordinating complex projects and in supporting strategic and organizational development processes
  • Interest in issues related to strategic spatial and land-use planning, as well as forward-looking land-use concepts
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to set priorities and maintain a clear overview even in challenging situations
  • A high degree of initiative, discretion, and reliability
  • Strong communication skills and a confident demeanor
  • Excellent proficiency in German and English (German: C1 level, English: B2 level)
