The Department of Economic and Organisational Sociology (WOS) of the Institute of Sociology at the Johannes Kepler University Linz is seeking to fill the position of a full-time university assistant for four years from 08/01/2025. Applicants must have a degree (diploma or master's degree) in sociology or a related social science subject. A specialisation in one of the following areas is expected: sociology of work, organisational and/or economic sociology, ideally with a connection to one of the current research fields of the department:
- Socio-ecological transformation of labour
- Labour relations in international comparison
- Migration and the labour market
- Care work
- Collective emotions in labour conflicts
- Hybrid work organisations
as well as a very good knowledge of sociological theories and a very good command of German and English (level C1). The post holder is expected to write a sociological dissertation in one of the department's core areas, teach on the Bachelor's degree programme in Sociology and participate in academic self-administration.
