Job Duties::

  • Work with Univ.-Prof. Bernhard Kasberger, PhD on the DFG project “Strategic Uncertainty in Market Design”
  • Conducting own research in (applied) microeconomic theory, in particular market design, with the interest in writing a doctorate in economics
  • Methodological specialization in microeconomic theory and game theory. If interested, additional methodological specialization in experimental economics and/or structural econometric modeling
  • Participation in the Institute's teaching in the field of (applied) microeconomic theory in German or English.

Your Qualifications::

  • The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master's degree in economics or economics
  • Interest in microeconomic theory, in particular, market design and game theory
  • Strong methodological background in microeconomic theory, experimental economics, or structural econometric modeling
  • Very good written and spoken English (level C1)
  • German language skills are not essential
  • Programming skills in Python or R or comparable programming languages are an advantage
