Im Rahmen der strategischen Ausrichtung auf Big Data und medizinische Anwendungen von Künstlicher Intelligenz (M-AI) suchen wir eine Abteilungsleitung welche die datenorientierte Transformation der IT maßgeblich gestaltet und vorantreibt. Als Teil des Teams des Informationsmanagements sind Sie in einem Team von IT-Expert*innen integriert und vor Ort am Medizinischen Campus zentrale*r Ansprechpartner*in zu allen Big Data-Themen.

Job Duties::

  • Further development and implementation of a comprehensive big data strategy for the Faculty of Medicine, including the integration of clinical and biomedical research data.
  • Responsibility for the planning, development and operation of the ‘Health Data Research Hub JKU-KUK’, a platform for the structured, secure and data protection-compliant use of medical research data.
  • Establishment and management of the ‘MED Data’ departments, including the recruitment and development of experts in the areas of data management and analysis.
  • Close cooperation with the institutes and university hospitals of the JKU and the Kepler University Hospital (KUK) in order to drive forward innovative, data-driven research projects in the long term.
  • Supporting researchers in the use of modern technologies such as cloud computing, high-performance computing (HPC) and AI-supported data analysis.
  • Participation in the establishment of the ‘Austrian Health Data Research Network’ to strengthen the networking of Austrian medical universities in the field of medical data processing.

Your Qualifications::

  • Completed studies or university of applied sciences or corresponding professional experience
  • Several years of experience in data management, ideally in a medical or academic environment
  • Sound knowledge of big data, cloud technologies, databases
  • Professional experience as a manager
  • Negotiating skills and ability to cooperate
  • High level of commitment and personal responsibility
  • Strong service and customer orientation
  • Independent, structured and goal-orientated work
  • Responsible, team-orientated personality
  • Very good knowledge of German and English (German level C1, English level B1)

  • On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,714.80 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: IVb)
