Job Duties::

Active participation at the Center for Higher Education and AI Competent University Teaching
Research and evaluation of teaching at the JKU in close cooperation with the respective departments
Development and implementation of innovative research projects in the field of higher education
Exploration and utilization of the potential of Artificial Intelligence for university teaching
Active support in the conceptual further development of the media education continuing education program at the JKU
Building a comprehensive collection of materials as well as preparing best practices for the use of modern and digital learning environments (for example Flipped Classroom, Peer Instruction)
Writing scientific publications for international journals and conference proceedings
Successful acquisition and independent execution of third party funded projects
Transfer of scientific findings into practical university teaching and development of evidence based recommendations for educators
Targeted establishment and sustainable maintenance of national and international research collaborations in the fields of higher education and Artificial Intelligence

Your Qualifications::

The successful candidate must hold successfully completed doctoral studies (ideally in Higher Education, Educational Sciences, STEM Education, Psychology, Educational Psychology or Sociology)
Profound research experience and verifiable publications in the field of higher education or similar fields
Proficient use of qualitative and / or quantitative research methods
Practical experience in applying modern learning environments in one's own university teaching (for example Flipped Classroom, Peer Instruction, SCALE UP Classroom)
Routine use of digital media as well as Artificial Intelligence in one's own teaching
Practical experience in developing viable concepts for the higher education sector
Profound knowledge in the development and evaluation of AI supported teaching formats, learning formats and examination formats
Verifiable experience in the conception and implementation of continuing education programs for educators
Experience with scientific publications in international, peer reviewed journals
Very good written and spoken German and English skills (at least level B2+)

On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 5,014.30 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
