Job Duties::

Conduct independent scientific research with the goal of completing a doctoral dissertation (PhD)
Participate in national and international research project of the Institute and contribute to scientific publications
Teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs, including examination activities (teaching obligation for candidates holding a Diploma-/ Master’s degree: 2 semester hours per week)
Contribute to the organizational and administrative activities of the institute

Your Qualifications::

The candidate must have a completed Diploma-/ Master’s degree in Computer Science from a national or international university, or an equivalent qualification. Please include your Master’s thesis and, where applicable, any other relevant scientific publications with your application
Strong knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Java programming, distributed systems, collaborative systems, and mobile computing
Interests in academic research and ideally some experience in scientific work
Excellent proficiency in English languages, both written and spoken (minimum level C1)
Very good proficiency in German languages, both written and spoken (minimum level B2), or willingness to acquire this level within 2 years; required for teaching the courses in German
Ability to work independently, think critically, and contribute to the development of innovative research methods
Strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a high level of commitment
High sense of responsibility and scientific integrity
