The Faculty of Medicine at Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU) has successfully established itself as an innovative location for medical teaching and research in recent years. The University Clinic for Internal Medicine 3 – Hematology and Internal Oncology is looking for a dedicated study coordinator to support the clinic's management in administrative and organizational matters.

Job Duties::

  • Responsibility for the overall coordination and management of clinical trials
  • Independent and autonomous performance of scientific work within the scope of trials
  • Data analysis
  • Organizational and administrative support for clinical and scientific investigators in the conduct and documentation of clinical trials
  • Patient management (coordination, preparation of visits/preparation of documents, documentation (entry of patient data), logistics, monitoring, provision of information by telephone, etc.)
  • Clinical research work directly on and with study patients (e.g., conducting clinical visits/study visits, questionnaire surveys, etc.)
  • Organization and coordination of diagnostics, laboratory work, sample shipping, and, if necessary, test medication
  • Support with submitting applications to ethics committees
  • Cooperation with the Coordination Center for Clinical Studies (KKS Linz) at the JKU Faculty of Medicine and the Service Center for Clinical Research (SCCR) at Kepler University Hospital
  • Communication with sponsors, study centers, principal investigators, authorities, etc.
  • Preparation and support for monitor visits, audits, and authority inspections
  • Maintenance of a research database, project overview, publication records, and research documentation

Your Qualifications::

  • Completed university degree in medicine, biology, natural sciences, or related fields
  • Very good German and good English skills (German level C1, English level B2)
  • Basic knowledge of relevant regulations (ICH, AMG) and training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is an advantage
  • Experience in clinical trials and scientific work as a study nurse or study coordinator is an advantage
  • Very good computer skills (MS Office)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Independent, accurate and structured working methods, as well as a high degree of reliability
  • Willingness to engage in further education and training

What We Offer::

  • On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,450.30 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: IVa)
