Job Duties::
- Conduct independent research in the field of computer algebra
- Contribute to research projects and actively participate in the acquisition of third-party funded research projects
- Contribute to teaching by independently organizing and co-teaching lectures, exercise classes, seminars, practical courses, and supervising Bachelor's and Master's theses on research-related topics
Your Qualifications::
- Completed doctoral degree (PhD) in Mathematics
- Enthusiasm for research and teaching
- Knowledge of and research experience in computer algebra
- Experience with algorithmic methods for polyhedra, linear inequalities, and oriented matroids
- Experience in the development of mathematical software for computer algebra systems, in particular SageMat
- Excellent programming skills in Python and experience with Git
- Teaching experience in mathematics and computer science
- International experience
- Excellent command of German and English (German: CEFR level C1; English: CEFR level B2)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
