Job Duties::
- Beschaffung, Betreuung und Wartung von Geräten und technischer Infrastruktur für Forschung und Lehre am Zentrum für Fachsprachen und Interkulturelle Kommunikation und der Abteilung Sprachlehr- und -lernforschung Englisch
- Unterstützung des wissenschaftlichen Personals hinsichtlich Forschungsdatenmanagement und -datenpflege im Bereich Sprachlehr- und -lernforschung und angewandte Sprachwissenschaft
- Verwaltung, Aufbereitung und Archivierung von Forschungsdaten (u.a. Sprachkorpora, Audio-/Videoaufnahmen, Umfrage-/Interviewdaten, Transkriptionen, Bild-/multimodale Daten), einschließlich Sicherstellung von Datenintegrität und Datensicherheit
- Technische Unterstützung von Forschungs- und Lehrprojekten, einschließlich Installation und Wartung von Software und Hardware
- Unterstützung bei der Erstellung von Datenmanagementplänen sowie bei Dokumentation, Pflege und Optimierung von nachhaltigen Datenmanagementprozessen (Data life cycle)
- Fallweise Kommunikation und Zusammenarbeit mit internen und externen Kooperationspartner*innen zur technischen Umsetzung von gemeinsamen Forschungsvorhaben (z.B. im Bereich Digital Humanities)
- Beratung und Weiterbildung hinsichtlich aktueller Best Practices im Datenmanagement
Your Qualifications::
- Mindestens abgeschlossene sekundäre Ausbildung mit Matura, vorzugsweise mit Technik- oder IT-Schwerpunkt
- Erfahrung in der Betreuung und Wartung technischer Infrastrukturen und/oder technischer Forschungsunterstützung
- Erfahrung im Bereich Forschungsdatenmanagement und/oder open access/open source ist wünschenswert
- Erfahrung in einem oder mehreren Bereichen der Digital Humanities ist von Vorteil: z.B. Langzeitarchivierung, Metadatenstandards, Datenformate bzw. Korpustools (z.B. TEI, XML, SketchEngine), Softwareentwicklung/UI-Design, Datenauswertung/-visualisierung (z.B. Python, R), maschinelles Lernen/KI-Integration
- Kommunikationssicheres Englisch in Wort und Schrift und sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse (Englisch Niveaustufe B2, Deutsch Niveaustufe C1)
- Eigenständigkeit, Lernbereitschaft, kreatives Problemlösen und Motivation
- Teamfähigkeit und Kommunikation mit unterschiedlichen Personengruppen
- Interesse an den Forschungsschwerpunkten der Abteilungen
