Job Duties::

  • Conduct independent research activities in the field of nonprofit and public management (focusing on empirical research using qualitative and/or quantitative methods)
  • Complete a doctoral dissertation
  • Actively take part in the institute’s research activities
  • Independently hold university-level courses in the field of nonprofit and public management
  • (Co-) supervise Bachelor’s/Master’s theses
  • Provide support to manage the institute’s general administration activities

Your Qualifications::

  • The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree in a related field of economics, preferably with a focus on nonprofit and public management
  • Expertise in qualitative and/or quantitative research methods is required
  • A research focus on topics in the fields of nonprofit management (particularly resource management with an emphasis on fundraising or volunteer management) or public management (specifically public sector accounting or technology and innovation management) is desired
  • Strong command of IT systems and software
  • Outstanding German and English skills (level C1)
  • Strong team player
  • An understanding of structures and procedures in university governance are highly desired but not required
  • Professional teaching experience is an advantage
