Topic area of your PhD projects:
Implementation research on the early detection of autism spectrum disorders and subsequent graded early intervention
The Faculty of Medicine at Johannes Kepler University Linz is sending a strong signal for further development in research. As part of a targeted stimulus program, the Faculty of Medicine has created six Young Research Groups with the aim of giving outstanding young scientists the opportunity to develop independent research profiles in forward-looking medical fields.
The Young Research Group is part of the Autism Lab at the Clinical Research Institute for Developmental Medicine. The newly established group, consisting of one postdoc and two predocs, aims to develop innovative, scientifically excellent contributions in the field of implementation research of modern approaches to early detection and personalized early intervention (longitudinal) in children on the autism spectrum.
Two positions as university assistants with a diploma/master's degree are available.
The first PhD project provides scientific support for a pilot project on autism screening as part of parent-child checkups at the age of 2, referral for diagnosis, and transition to early therapy.
In the second project, algorithms to support personalized therapy decisions will be developed based on the developmental trajectories of autistic children in an adaptive treatment model (autism-specific early interventions).
