Job Duties::

The research topic in the frame of a PhD thesis concerns the preparation and investigation of thin molecular layers (in particular organic molecules) on metal surfaces and the characterization of their structural, electronic and optical properties using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and surface-sensitive optical spectroscopy
Participation in the teaching activities of the institute
Assistance in the supervision of Bachelor and Master students

Your Qualifications::

The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science
Knowledge and expertise in Solid-State Physics or Materials Science, preferably in the field of experimental Surface Science or Optical Spectroscopy
Excellent English language skills (B2 level), knowledge of German would be appreciated
