As part of a research project on open-source tools for Electronic Design Automation (EDA), funded by the European Union and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), we are looking for a motivated research associate.

Job Duties::

  • Conduct research in circuit and system design, with a focus on analysis and debugging
  • Further develop and integrate the Waveform Analysis Language (WAL) with waveform viewer Surfer
  • Prepare scientific publications for recognized international conferences and journals
  • Present project results at academic conferences and workshops
  • Close collaboration with project partners from academia and industry
  • Opportunity to develop a PhD thesis within the framework of the project

Your Qualifications::

  • The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree in computer science or related fields
  • Excellent accademic skills and strong interest in Electronic Design Automation (EDA)
  • Strong expertise in hardware design and verification
  • Goood knowledge of imperative programming languages, especially Python, Rust and C++
  • High motivation and interest in interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Strong initiative and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Excellent English language skills (minimum level B2), German language skills are not required
