Job Duties::

  • Preparation of a dissertation in the field of statistics
  • Support in administration
  • Teaching own courses
  • Participation in the department's research projects

Your Qualifications::

  • The successful candidate must hold a completed diploma or master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, (bio-)informatics or a related field
  • Very good knowledge of statistics
  • Very good programming skills (preferably R; possibly Python, C++, Matlab)
  • Interest and ideally experience in the development of methods in demography
  • Own scientific interest
  • Very good knowledge of the English language (level C1)
  • German language skills are not mandatory
  • Communication and teamwork skills

What We Offer::

  • On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,776.10 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1). At 30 hours per week, the pay amounts to three quarters of the full-time salary.
